The paper target match is loosely modeled after a NRA conventional Pistol (Bullseye) match. There are two classes, one is for rimfire pistols and the other is for center fire pistols. The rules are simple, on sights: any design but no magnification (IE. magnification scopes.) and no projection sights (IE. Lasers.) adjustable sights would be a plus but not necessary, other than that it is a run what you brung style of match, either semi auto or revolvers are welcome.
The course of fire at BSRPC is three targets (1 slow, 1 rapid, and 1 timed) Nation match style at 16 yards.(50 feet) and one target at 25 yards. The targets used are NRA designated targets know as a number B-2 “50 foot slow fire target,” the B-3 50 foot rapid and timed fire target, and the B-16 “25 yard slow fire target.” We use the targets as designated. The course of fire for each target is ten shots, There is no time limit on slow fire targets there is a 20 second time limit on timed fire, and 10 second time limit on rapid fire. , shooters do not have to shoot Bullseye one handed style, two hands (Freestyle) are welcome. Rimfire match is usually first and center fire will follow. There is a break in fire between targets, and targets are score by the point value marked on the target. The shooter needs 40 rounds of ammunition per gun to complete the record course of fire. At the end of the year (After the October match) the shooters best two scores will be averaged together and placement will be made. There will be a pay out for the top three placed in both divisions. To be eligible for payout you must participate in two match’s.
