In an effort to save money the Club has elected to switch over to a digital newsletter system rather than printing and mailing them. The cost to the club to mail out a newsletter to all of our members typically runs in the neighborhood of $400 per mailing, not to mention the time spent printing them off and stuffing/addressing envelopes. A huge benefit of the digital format is that we can provide several different subscriptions to our members so that they can easily select what information they wish to receive and/or not receive.
Subscribing to the Newsletters:
To subscribe to one or all of the newsletters simply go to the website homepage and find the Subscribe to our Newsletters widget in the right column right above the FaceBook Social panel. Select which newsletters you would like to receive, enter the email address you would like them sent to in the space provided, and then click the Subscribe button. Yes, it’s that easy!
Different Newsletters:
Quarterly Newsletter: As the name implies, this newsletter will be sent out quarterly and will primarily be used to relay information from the board to the members. Each newsletter will include a letter from the president and a report from the Secretary/Treasurer regarding the current finances of the club and an itemized list of any major expenditures that have occurred since the last report. The quarterly newsletters will be sent out on or around the following dates:
January 1st (Winter Edition)
April 1st (Spring Edition)
July 1st (Summer Edition)
October 1st (Fall Edition)
Monthly Match Report: This newsletter will be comprised of all the match results from the previous month and will automatically generate on the 28th of each month if/when there have been new match reports posted within the last month. As such, it will likely only be mailed out between the months of April and November.
Weekly Website Updates: This newsletter will automatically generate every Sunday morning and consist of the newest five posts made if/when there have been new posts made within the past week. Subscribing to this newsletter will ensure that you are kept up to date on what is being posted on the website on a weekly basis so you don’t have to remember to check in every once in a while to stay current.
