Once again Mother Nature reared her ugly head and made a mess of the range on match day. While not underwater, the overcast, rainy, and generally ugly weather put a real damper on the turnout for this months ABRA rimfire rifle match. Three shooters showed up for the match, but with only one shooting a semi-auto we couldn’t hold an official ABRA match and thus proceeded to have an informal club match mimicking the ABRA format using NRA 50-Foot Small Bore Rifle (A-17) targets at 50-yards.
Course of Fire: Two relays of twenty bulls with one shot per bull for a total of 40 record bulls. Total possible score of 400 points.
Weather Conditions: 70°, overcast with intermittent rain and an occasional light breeze.
Match Results:
1st Place: Patrick K. (Ruger 10/22) – 353 points
2nd Place: Jim B. (Browning T-Bolt) – 350 points
3rd Place: Hal D. (Remington 513) – 338 points
The next ABRA rimfire rifle match is scheduled for August 9th at 4:00 PM.
