General Rules

• All rifles must be chambered in .22 Long Rifle (.22 LR).
• Any commercially available factory-loaded .22 LR ammunition may be used.
• Ammunition may not be modified.
• There are no restrictions on scope magnification or rifle weight, except where noted for specific classes.
• Wind flags are permitted and encouraged.
• Competitors may use:
  • One-piece rests
  • Bipods
  • Tripods
  • Monopods
  • Mechanical rests
  • Sandbags
  • Any combination of these
• Bench-mounted rests are not permitted.

Rifle Classes

Semi-Auto Production

• Factory-produced semi-automatic .22 LR rifle.
• Factory stock and barrel required.
• Stock and barrel must have been commercially available.
• Permitted modifications:
  • Bedding
  • Bolt work
  • Trigger work
  • Re-chambering
  • Barrel re-crowning
• Original factory trigger housing required.
• Barrel diameter may not exceed 0.750 inches.
• No barrel tuners or benchrest forearm adapters.

Semi-Auto Open

Any semi-automatic .22 LR rifle that does not qualify for Semi-Auto Production.

• Must function as a semi-automatic.
• Must be magazine-fed.

Production

• Production .22 LR rifle.
• Minimum production run of 5,000 rifles.
• Maximum weight: 10.5 pounds, including scope.
• Forearm width may not exceed 2¼ inches.
• Bottom corners must have at least a ¼-inch radius.
• Factory barrel must be retained.
• Permitted modifications:
  • Trigger work
  • Stock improvements
  • Internal action work
  • Re-chambering
  • Barrel crowning

Limited

• Any .22 LR rifle meeting Open Class specifications.
• Barrel tuners are not permitted.

Open

• Any .22 LR rifle.
• No additional equipment restrictions.

Course of Fire

Each match consists of two relays.

Each relay includes:

• Two targets
• 20 record bullseyes per target
• One shot per record bullseye
• Unlimited sighter shots

Each target contains designated sighter bullseyes.

The first shot of every relay must be fired at the designated sighter bull inside the boxed area to verify the correct target and prevent crossfires.

Time limit: 15 minutes per target.

Target Changes & Safety

During target changes:

• A cease fire will be called.
• Rifles must be made safe with the bolt locked open or removed.
• Competitors post their own targets.
• Only the scorer or target crew may handle completed targets until scoring is finished.

Bench assignments are determined by drawing prior to the match.

Bench rotation is at the discretion of the Match Director.

Club Championship

The Club Championship consists of six targets, each containing 20 record bullseyes.

Match Schedule

Season: April through November

Match Day: Second Sunday of each month

Registration Opens: 9:00 AM (adjust if needed)

Match Begins: 1:00 PM

Duration: Approximately 3 hours

Entry Fees

• Adults: $15 per rifle
• Juniors (ages 7–16): $10 per rifle

Competitors may enter up to two rifles, provided each rifle is entered in a different class.

Double entries, buy-backs, and second targets are not permitted.

Junior Shooters

Junior shooters are encouraged to participate.

• Ages 7–16 qualify for reduced entry fees.
• Shooters under 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult during their relay.
• The accompanying adult is responsible for safety and assisting the junior competitor.

Club Equipment

The club has wooden front rests available for competitors who do not have one.

Competitors must provide their own rear sandbag(s).
